Volunteer Q&A

Meet Effy, one of the Volunteers at Central Coast Kids in Need. We chatted with Effy recently about her time volunteering: 

1. Why are you involved with CCKIN?
   I became involved with Central Coast Kids in Need after they were assisting my granddaughter, who has Spina Bifida. I made the decision to join the charity so I could assist and raise money to help other families with sick kids.

2. How long have you been volunteering at CCKIN?
   I have been a member since 2017.

3. Memorable moments from volunteering at CCKIN?
   1. Having the honour of delivering Christmas gifts to sick kids and their families makes the meaning of Christmas real!

   2. Meeting a very special boy and his family who showed strength and kindness to others and especially CCKIN to raise money, so we can help other families. Unfortunately Toby lost his battle too early, I will never forget his smile and beautiful kind heart.
