Volunteer Q&A

Louise Gledden President Head Shot.jpg

Meet Louise, the President of Central Coast Kids in Need. We asked Louise a few questions about her time at Central Coast Kids in Need:

  1. Why are you involved with CCKIN?
Our son Jet was born 11 weeks early, was in hospital for 17 weeks and needed multiple surgeries. Central Coast Kids in Need helped with my accommodation costs whilst our son was in hospital. When he was well enough to come home I decided to give my time back to the group that got us through a very difficult time as new parents.

  2. How long have you been volunteering at CCKIN?
    Since 2005.

  3. Memorable moments from volunteering at CCKIN?
My most memorable experiences are when we get to meet the kids that we have helped, when they are doing well and recovering from their illnesses. It makes my heart sing to know that their parents are experiencing the sheer joy of their child coming home, as we did in 2004.
